Full-wave Rectification
Compared with the preceding half-wave rectifier, the full-wave rectifier utilises both halves of the input sinusoidal waveform to supply a unidirectional output. It's because the full-wave rectifier basically consists of two half-wave rectifiers linked alongside one another to feed the load.

The one period full-wave rectifier does this by utilizing 4 diodes arranged within a bridge arrangement passing the good 50 percent in the waveform as prior to but inverting the negative 50 % from the sine wave to create a pulsating DC output. Regardless that the the voltage and recent output with the rectifier is pulsating, it does not reverse course using the comprehensive 100% in the input waveform and thus giving full-wave rectification.
